| Project Resource Estimating & Planning (PREP)
The Microsoft Dynamics SL Project Series, now known as Project Management & Accounting (PMA), is the 'go-to' application for Project-Driven Organizations (PDO's) within the Microsoft Business Solutions offering. Our Project Work Order (PWO) module was the first application we offered to extend this series (not including the SK-developed Microsoft Dynamics SL Work Order module). Our new PREP module continues this tradition.
Any PDO that wishes to assign and schedule resources at the Task level, but is not ready to step up to the full Microsoft Project Server environment, will be interested in PREP. As a bonus, assigned resources can be used as the source for an estimate on a Task, or on the entire Project. When used in conjunction with Project Work Order, that estimate can include detailed material requirements.

- Create Rough-Cut Cost & Billing Estimates based on Resource Categories

- Used in conjunction with Project Work Order, generate an Estimate complete with materials
- Drive these Estimates into Budgets on demand
- Generate a Word-based Quote from the Billing Estimate information
- Maintain & assign different Quote formats for using on different projects.
- Convert a Rough-Cut Estimate into a Schedule
- Document the Work Steps required for each Task:
- Define the Operation a Resource is to perform
- Order the resulting Work Steps according to your requirements
- Print the Statement of Work by Task or for the entire Project
- Record Actual costs at the Resource level:
- Non-employee Resource costs can be manually recorded or 'backflushed', based on the estimate
- With Microsoft Dynamics SL v6.0, Timecard Entry will allow an employee's time to be recorded against a specific Work Step
